Mathematics At Your Fingertips

In this 1961 Film produced by the National FIlm Board of Canada, Caleb Gattegno appears as a guest teacher for Grade 1 students using Algebricks rods in Montreal, QC. The film recieved a Certificate of Merit at the 1963 Genie Awards in Montreal, and a Chris Certificate Award at the 1964 International Film and Video Festival in Columbus, OH. A similar version was also shot in French, and titled Les Mathématiques : un jeu d'enfants.

Learning to Read Through TV:  Gattegno's Pop Up Series on NBC

Pop Up was first aired on NBC in 1970, and was played during program breaks as an educational alternative to commercials. It is based on Dr. Gattegno's approach to literacy education Words in Color, and on his approach to maximizing learning using television.
